Madre de agua in swine feeding

Trichantera gigantean, also known as madre de agua is a non-legume species that grows well with repeated cutting and without fertilizer input.

This promising fodder tree, is a potential source of protein, its leaves contain 18-22% crude protein in dry matter form.

According to Ms. Samiano of BAI, partial replacement of mixed feeds with madre de agua gives almost the same results in terms of weight gain, meat quality, and income with those pigs given with mixed feeds.

TITLE: MADRE THE AGUA IN SWINE FEEDING

NARINIG NA BA NINYO ANG TUNGKOL SA MADRE DE AGUA?

ANG TRICHANTERA GIGANTEAN NA KILALA SA PANGALANG MADRE DE AGUA AY ISANG NON-LEGUME SPECIES NA LUMALAKI NA MERONG REPEATED CUTTINGS AT WALANG FERTILIZER INPUT.

ANG FODDER TREE NA ITO AY POTENSIYAL NA MAPAGKUKUNAN NG PLANT PROTEIN.

ANG DAHON NITO AY MERONG TAGLAY NA 18-22% CRUDE PROTEIN PAG ITO AY TUYO O DRY MATTER FORM.

AYON KAY AVELINA SAMIANO NG BUREAU OF ANIMAL INDUSTRY (BAI), ANG PARTIAL REPLACEMENT NG MIXED FEEDS NG MADRE DE AGUA AY NAKAPAGBIBIGAY NG KATULAD NA RESULTA KUNG PAG-UUSAPAN AY WEIGHT GAIN, KALIDAD NG KARDE AT KITA SA PAG-AALAGA NG BABOY.
